New Loot!

So today I have a little haul for you from Michaels. Well not really little but a haul none the less. It’s actually a late Halloween haul. I know, I know,  it ‘s after Halloween, but I have seen some stores still carrying some products so it maybe not that late after all. I purchased almost all of the items on Halloween or after when Michaels was having their 80% off sale; so I didn’t end up using the items for any projects this year but there is always next year! One thing you will need to know about me…I’m a regular crafter! That means that I do not craft as my job. I have small baby, a husband and a full time job so when I buy items to craft with, I use them more than once …… and even if they are out of season *gasp* I know! Many of the products that I use will not be new  and I apologize for that ahead of time. However, that is not the point of this blog, to showcase new products from monthly releases. I buy and use products that inspire me. So it doesn’t always have to new, just new to me. That being said, I will still share a list of supplies when I post projects but I apologize if the item is retired already. But hey, who knows, you might have the same retired item in your stash as well and haven’t shown it some love in a while. Or maybe the patterned paper inspires you to use one you already have in your pile, or put together certain colour combinations you may not have thought of before.

Well, now that we have that out of the way, on to the haul. Like I said, I purchased these items over two separate trips to Michaels and got some really fantastic deals on them! I even put together a little video for you. Sorry for the lack luster sound of my voice in this video. I had just got my baby down for a nap and was hesitate to really talk normal for fear of waking him.

Hey, look at me….I’m Blogging!!

After many days and countless hours spent reading, surfing and becoming inspired by other great blogs…I thought “Hey, I can do that too!” I mean how hard can it be…really.  So I spent some time researching…and well, here I am. I’m not going to lie, this maybe a slow and painful process but it’s a step through the door. I thought I’d share a bit about my hobby, obsession, um how about expensive addiction…STAMPING! I love stamping! I mostly make cards, but here and there I will branch out and create something out of my element such as a mini scrapbook or an altered project. I’m also a terrible paper horder. I must admit, I loooove patterned paper and cardstock. Especially any 6×6 paper pad from Basic Grey!  Anyway, for now until I get the hang of this whole ‘blogging’ thing, be kind to me. I’m sure I’ll learn many more things along the way and who knows, I might even surprise some of you.
